Walnut Crescents
These Danish butter cookies are perfect for holiday get-togethers or neighbor gifts. They will add just a touch of elegance to your event and are super easy to make.

Ingredients
1/2
cup
butter
1/2
cup
shortening
1/3
cup
sugar
2
tsp
water
2
tsp
vanilla
2
cups
flour
1/2
cup
chopped walnuts
powdered sugar
Instructions
Cream the butter to soften; then cream the butter with shortening and sugar all together.
Mix in water and vanilla; then mix in flour and nuts to form a soft dough.
Chill for 3 hours.
Form dough into long rolls, about 1/2 inch in thickness (Like making a snake with play-dough!); cut in 3-inch lengths and shape into crescents.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes at 325F. DO NOT BROWN the cookies!
Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool slightly. Dip in powdered sugar.
