Easy Halloween Mummy Fingers

My sister Meg was the first to get married, and she started a fun tradition for all of us to get together for a fun Halloween party. All the extended family gets together for some yummy soup and rolls, some fun themed appetizers and treats, and games – such a fun tradition my kids and I always look forward to. If you are looking for a super easy and creepy appetizer for your Halloween party that kids are sure to love, well, I’ve got you covered! These Mummy Fingers have been a favorite in our family for several years. My sister normally uses tortillas, but I used some Rhodes rolls and in my opinion made them even better! Both adults and kids love them! Traditional pigs in a blanket with a creepy twist kids love!

Pull out some of your favorite Rhodes Rolls and set them on top of a greased cookie sheet. Cover with some saran wrap and allow to rise for 2.5 hours ( don’t let them rise the normal amount of time).

You will need just 3 ingredients!  You only need 3 rolls, (I did a dozen so we could enjoy the others with some soup for dinner! ), 1 package of Lil Smokies (found in the hot dog section), and ketchup.

Let your kids roll out the semi-cold rolls.

Using a pizza cutter, slice the roll the long way in thin strips.

Stretch and twist the dough between your fingers and wrap it around the ‘Lil Smokie, going up and down just like a mummy is wrapped.

Place on a greased cookie sheet (I use Pam), and bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes until golden.

Put these on a fun platter and add a dab of ketchup on one end for the “blood”.  The perfect addition to your family Halloween party this year!
